We accept 1-2 commissions per month as time and studio schedule allows.

COMMISSION PROCESS & LEAD TIME

Most processes require no more than 1 week while more detailed multi piece collections can take longer. We will discuss the scope of your job and quote accordingly.

Rushes available when schedule allows, please inquire.

REFERENCING INSPIRATION

We kindly ask that inspiration images for commissions come from nature, your own images, architecture and from our own catalogue and archive. Do NOT send inspiration that references the work of other backdrop or surface painters.

DETAILS, PRICING POLICY, AND SIZING

We accept custom commissions for canvas backdrops only.

Standard and custom sizes are available ranging from 6x10’-9’x16’. Need help with sizing? See our "How to Choose a Backdrop Size" blog post for help.

List prices represent the base cost for the commissioned backdrops.

We offer a myriad of applications, layering processes, detailing metallics, and other multi-step processes that may affect the final price. Upon consultation we will discuss these additions and options and their affect on prices. Prices will be determined and fees paid in full before the work begins.

PROCESS TIMES

First come, first served. Once approved and payment is received your commission backdrop will be added to our studio schedule and an estimated completion date will be communicated. Rush fees are considered on a case-by-case basis.

SHIPPING

US clients: UPS ground shipping (4-6 business days) will be billed once the commission is complete. Large (6x10) canvas is between $60-$90, XL (8x12) canvas is between $250-$350. We will calculate and offer the best price directly to you.

International clients: We are happy to quote UPS/DHL shipping estimates so you can plan accordingly. Final shipping fees will be invoiced directly once your backdrop is ready to ship.
